Hello, I've searched to no avail for these numbers. I'd like to set up a gauge for the Torque app (obdii). So I just need to know if the numbers I have are the correct numbers and also the number for max temp..
From what I've found online,
- Engine is cold at <=130°F
- Ideal temp is 180°F
- No known maximum temp
What temp does the high temp indicator light go on?
Thank you for any help! I just got the Yaris, so I'm excited to set up all these analysis tools.

According to service manual; fan-on temp is 93C/199F (which is surprisingly low for a modern car). So the engine's ideal operating range is 180-199F. If you want to confirm, just look at the temp when the fan comes on (make sure HVAC is off).

"The engine coolant temperature indicator light turns off when the engine coolant temperature exceeds
55°C (131°F) and illuminates when the temperature decreases to below 45°C (113°F).
The engine coolant temperature warning light flashes when the engine coolant temperature reaches
117°C (242.6°F) and illuminates when the temperature exceeds 120°C (248°F). When the temperature
decreases to 119.5°C (247.1°F) while the warning light is illuminated, the warning light begins to flashing.
In addition, when the temperature decreases to below 116.5°C(241.7°F) the warning light turns off."
