Hello members. I need some assistance in properly wiring my reverse camera. First of all I have the reverse camera installed as close to the license plate light as possible. I ran the yellow video cable. I need to know which wire is the reverse light positive wire (2007 Hatchback). Also the aftermarket Pioneer receiver have a reverse camera pinkish wire. Where do I install this? I appreciate all help.

Hi,
For me yaris 2015
Its a pink/white wire for reverse.
Test it with a multimeter.

Here is the wiring diagram from the service manual; however, they don't give wire color.

How did you route the cable?

I route the cable along the door well, rear panel and under the spare tire.

What about the camera wire behind the stereo?

Camera wire behind the stereo - should have a red power wire that comes off the RCA yellow cable that carries the video. If it doesn't then run a totally separate wire from the reverse light (white light bulb in the rear) all the way to the head unit along the side trim/door panels.
Without it your head unit won't switch to the reverse video input. The wire is there to tell the head unit when to switch to that video feed.
I wired mine directly the lead on the backup light (white light bulb) and it turns on the rear view camera and switches my head unit to the reverse camera input automatically.
