Hi, I just bought a 2014 Yaris and wonder what synthetic media oil filter folks use? (part number?) Also, do any larger filters fit? For instance, my 3.3. in my dodge van uses a larger FL1A Filter for a ford v-8. That stock filter sure looks small!

you can buy the filter for the older toyota. it has the same threads and o ring.
toyota part number: 90915-yzzf1
the recommended part number: 90915-yzzf2 (for 1nzfe)
they are the same in every dimension except the f1 is 2x longer
(if it's a spin-on filter)

Mobil1 oil filter ....M1-103. Autozone will run oil specials that include a 5qt jug of mobil1 and a filter. Sometimes they advertise an STP filter with Mobil1 one oil....but they let you sub the better
Mobil1 one filter for 2 or 3 dollars more.

I went to an Advance Auto the other day, they sell Purlator filters and I was shocked to find out that Purlator is made by Mann-Hummel, what's more Mann filters are made in Mexico while most Purlators are made in the US. They are pretty affordable and Advance was having a oil + filter bundle at the time too.

why buy a Mobil filter for $16 when
the factory filter at the dealership is $6 plus tax?
if it's free and part of a deal, then get it i guess.
and as far as the Mobil filter goes; the M1-103 is the small filter
the larger filter from Mobil is M1C-154

That larger filter fits ok? Have you used it?
