Remote opening.

I have just purchased a used Toyota Vitz 2013 imported from Japan.

When I use the remote key all doors open but when I use the "mechanical" key, only the driver's door opens.

The seller says this is as it should be. The manual is no help as it is in Japanese.

Can anyone confirm this please?

Did you try twisting the key twice? That is how mechanical unlock works on a Yaris.

Twist once for just driver door, 2 times for all doors.
