I'll never understand the West's hate of the wagon but acceptance of the hb. A wagon is identical other than a bit more length but a huge amount more cargo space.
For what ever reason most car manufacturers are obsessed with cutting steep angles in the rear windows of the hb ie: BMW x6. It essentially makes it a sedan but yet no one seems to car because hatchback.
Mini vans had it right with their almost completely vertical rear windows.

Wagons aren't my thing personally, but I don't hate them or anything. I would rather drive a nice wagon like that than the typical crossover or SUV. I would definitely take that Corolla wagon over the god-awful CH-R or RAV4.
Still, that lispy, fish-face front styling on the new Corolla is just comically bad. It makes the latest Yaris hatch stubby-nose front design look better & better...

I would buy this hands down without a doubt. I love my Yaris, but I’m starting to look for a relief vehicle for my van. I’ve been looking at wagons because I hate sedans. I hate SUVs less so I am looking at a 4runner or Highlander. I am taking on my wife’s old Sienna (160,000 miles) while I’m buying a Ford Transit Wagon for my wife and 6 kids. I just wring my hands at the fact that I can’t get one of these. So disappointed.

I considered buying a Venza when they first hit the US market. This reminds me a little of that. I wouldn't mind having it at all. I think I could make it look hard as #@$%.

bummer. i saw an Acura TSX wagon at a wrecking yard the other day. i asked about it, but i guess it still belongs to the insurance company so they couldn't sell it to me...

Call up the insurance company, there are ways to acquire..
and yes the consumers in the US hate wagons ( as much as the automotive journalists and guys like us love em)
but consumers have an insane fetish for SUV's and CUV's now... like. the active sport is a lifted focus..
dammit.
course I am also a huge hypocrite in this regard because I own a midsize SUV vs a wagon. but there are reasons

It’s the implied versatility of the height. I have to admit I can’t stomach to lower my 2011 outback...
