I recently purchased and installed a set of ROTA OS MESH 15x7 +35 with a hub bore of 57.1 .. I was very surprised to find that the front did not successfully clear the rotors, marginally. I had them installed with aftermarket lugs at Mr.Tire, the guy explained they dont like to install after market rims unless purchased from them but i assured him i did my research (here) and they would be fine. They put it in the air unmounted my existing four tires (185/60) and swapped them over to the new wheels, reinstalled, lowered, and went to back off the lift. Low and behold the front caliper dug across the inside of the front wheels, both sides, barely. In a bind with a not so happy pair of employees i went to advance auto parts right across the street and bought cheap, off the rack, non centric wheel spacers, claiming 1/4" thickness, which according to google converts to 6.35 mm. The tech installed them while we both verbally degraded the cheap un-authentic spacers, it did the trick. I drove home and have put approx. 60 miles on the setup to date. Last night when I returned home I check for tightness on my lugs, they moved ever so slightly before clicking in at 80#s. My question for you guys is how much spacer is too much Ive read a thread stating 5mms are okay. Tens are no dice! WHAT ABOUT 6.35? I rub slightly up front now btw, but thats for a different battle...

generally speaking, the loose lugs are not fault of the spacers but to putting new rims on with lug nuts, you where supposed to check them after driving a bit because they will go loose. after this tightening it should be fine.
ive ran up to a 1.5 inch spacer on jeeps before (thank you spidertrax) and haven't had an issue with loosening spacers. there's fears about your wheelbearings after a certain size. and for the most part. again the general fear of spacers is thread engagement on lugs

yeah thread engagment has me worried most, i ran 1.25 spacers on my Xj but they had seperated lugs made into them you know..? these cheapos with no studs and stock length studs had me worried so far all is well though

if you got as many threads engagement as big around the stud is youll be fine. if you are overly concerned I would reccommend checking out arp studs. i love em

Id really like to move these spacers off my front wheels, its giving me a strange stance lol. in order to push the rear out to sit more flush and be past my front wheels i would have to run another pair of spacers. I bought these wheels because after months of research i was assured a 15x7 +35 would fit, i was surprised when no one chimed in once i i mounted my tires to these and try to throw them on. The inside face contacted the caliper just ever so slightly, !'m guessing the construction of the spokes are exceedingly thick and no one foresaw the interference. My question boils down to whether or not grinding a small amount of the caliper would be an option. It seems perfectly viable to me. Any input would be appreciated.

It is possible to grind away a small portion of caliper. Another option since they are available, would be to acquire 3mm spacers for the front. Move your current spacers to the back for an even better balanced stance.
Nobody chimed in early on fitment because it is very rare that 15s won't clear the caliper. Very rare.

i feel like the 6mm spacers in the rear will make it sit pretty flush, i have to do some camber adjustments on both my volvo and yaris so maybe tomorrow i will do some grinding on the caliper and swap the spacers to rear...

I had 15x7 wheels on my old 2016. 40 MM offset though. They cleared just fine.

yeah most due, heck i was running after market 15x6 before hand. Most wheel clearance issues in correlation to the caliper are in 14s and 13s. This particular wheel ( Rota OS mesh) has a very thick spoke construction, i believe its a good thing really, I at least have confidence in the wheel itself lol

Okay! I got the spacers off! I had to grind a small amount off of the brake caliper. Specifically the bracket that holds the outside pad. I reinstalled the fronts 6mm in than previously and am much more satisfied. On to the rear. I wanted to add the spacers to the rear to fill the wheel wells a touch. While I was back there I wanted a little more drop so I removed all the rubber spring isolators from the rear. It worked. I was able to get 3/4 of inch lower it really eliminated my rake. I'm glad I did it. Anyways thanks for all the help here some pics...https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181013/5a1c16cc5a4b2bc2cafb1fc999186fa2.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181013/c5798cc2bcdd25c75ad1b41615b2bd3a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181013/3694dcff3f82168fa2e4a622d9d9aaf1.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181013/7625fe36590620cb56bfd3e3b4f57277.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181013/13d80450a13623515ffa5ea88e7ebc58.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181013/81b17d6a28b45be3c7edf63a4fae1dfd.jpg

I hope it's a limitation of the camera lens - those wheels look rather oval....

Lol yes. It's because my only camera choice is my phone. 30 dollar pay as you go phone. Not exactly Nikon status. I assure you if my wheels were ovals there be an anti Rota post going on ...

It's also parked with the passenger side off of the shoulder of the road so it's sitting uneven
