Read this ebay seller response to me. This seller is not legitimate and provides no customer service whatsoever. I demand a full refund against this seller for this transaction.

What YARIS you've got? It fits YARIS HATCH only and it's listed in our listing. Dont try to cheat us and we will leave negative and report ebay and paypal as fraud.
From Buyer: Barry Burke on 5/30/2007 15:45 PDT
The Toyota Yaris LED mirror cover replacements advertised by this seller do not fit the factory mirrors. The seller says no refund because he has 'pictures' of it installed on the car. This is the second Toyota Yaris part that I have purchased from this seller that did not fit as advertised. I have filed negative ratings for both items on Ebay regarding these purchases with no feedback received from the seller regarding a refund or anything to satisfy his customer (me). The only acceptable outcome to me is a full refund of this purchase.

I've posted this here before but I got ripped off by this asshole too.
I purchased the LED mirror covers (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Toyota-Yaris-Vitz-Chrome-Mirror-Cover-LED-Light-RS-TRD_W0QQitemZ150127717708QQihZ005QQcategoryZ33654Q QrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) from him. They looked right so I paid to have them custom painted. When I took the mirrors apart to mount them, I found the clips weren't even close.
Stock on bottom, eBay item on top:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1103/rjenkie/Comparison.jpg
First he gave me the same runaround about me reading the listing wrong and then stopped returning my emails. I filed a claim with PayPal. He finally offered a 50% refund because I painted them so they weren't resalable and I settled. I lost 1/2 the purchase price plus the painting cost.

He sells both kinds actually along with his other trash...the ones I ordered were replacements not stick on. I took my mirrors apart and quickly found out that they don't fit under any circumstances.

Over the years Ive done quite a bit of buying and selling on Ebay and I now typically shy away from any strictly Ebay business' mostly for this reason. The only business I still consistently buy from incase anyone has other projects is Oregon Performance Transmission, great cust service.
On Ebay now if you dont give possitive feedback youll never get it, regardless how much of a shithead they are or how completely wrong parts are.

Well, you are shopping on ebay....for plastic mirror covers....of fake chrome. Sorry to say, but that's a losing formula no matter how you view it.

To each his own I always say. I think that the crux of the matter is selling an item that was not as advertised, regardless of what it is. All the rest is simply a matter of taste. Hey, I'm thinking about putting a set of "spinner" hubcaps on my Yaris...now if I can only find them on ebay!:headbang:

I was wondering when someone would bring this up. However I dont care what I buy if its for $1 or $1000 it should fit and work 'as advertised'. The seller is a known liar now on this site and everyone has been warned.
I have full confidence in PayPal to give me my money back. The asshole seller has pretty much sealed his fate by his responses.
Anyone else here had bad Ebay experiences? Or am I the ONLY Yarisworld member thats ever been had?

I am careful on eBay and I generally have very good experiences. I usually stick with name brand though, and I ALWAYS check the feedback for the seller.

How's that go...
Fool me once, shame on you... fool me twice, shame on me.
Or, in Republican speak:
Fool me once, shame on -- shame on you. Fool me -- you can't get fooled again.

But, thanks for the heads up. Try not to buy from dipshits more often then necessary in the future, k?

You're right, I was just being a smart ass. It's not like one person't tastes are *better* than anothers. You simply have a different set of tastes than I do, that's all, no biggie. Hope it all works out for you in the end.

heh... funny thing is, looking at the mirror covers I'm selling through the GB, it turns out our asian Yarii have different mounting holes for the mirrors than the USDM ones, so the seller in this case was kinda right, though he should be aware of the problem by now, and respond in a less bone-headed way!!!
The big flaw with the feedback system is that you could do everything right, and the other person is a dick, so you leave them negative feedback. Then they retaliate and give you negative feedback.
The way around this is that there is a limit on how long you have to give feedback (30 days I think). The trick is to wait until the last minute, that way you give them negative, but they can't unfairly give you negative.

I stay away from ebay altogether now. Their customer service sucks and I had gotten my account hacked and that idiot placed up to 200 bids. Try explaining to every single seller what happened. Ebay wouldn't even do anything for me. Just told me to contact every seller.... umm 200+ sellers to contact? No thank you.

The seller should adjust his listing to say 'fits Asian market Vitz/Yaris only' then I wouldnt have purchased.
BTW he hasnt learned a damned thing hes still peddling his crap on there to unsuspecting buyers.

i also already painted them and asked the toyota dealer to attach them
and wire up the lights , the dealer had the same problems
but they glued them now and it looks very good
the seller didn't respond to me when i e-mailed him
i suggest to post the names off these bad sellers

What is weird is that what he is selling has screw holes. Perhaps there is a third type of mirror for the Yaris with the same exterior shape but different mounting points?
