I’ve been trying to find the cheapest coilovers possible for a while now and just saw some maxpeedingrods on eBay. And they keep selling out fast. Does anyone have a review on them yet for the Yaris?? I don’t really mind how bad the ride may be to be honest. I just want to go lower than the springs I have installed already.

They cost about $300 on eBay but already sold out

tiens and TRD both cost 480 why not pay a bit more for quality and a warranty

i posted a thread questioning them in the suspension section of the forumhttp://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61221
no one replied to me there, i was curious about them too... see the yaris is an extra car to my family... i drive a dodge truck and the wife has a volvo wagon, i was simply trying to slam it for the cheapest amount possible. Ill order a set in the spring and do a review. im sure theyre shit for 300$ but honestly man our cars (assuming you have a 2nd gen) arent worth anymore than 4k in great condtion these days. i dont intend on putting a dime into it once its on coils

What are these "coilovers?" Are they something different from loaded struts at the front?
At the rear they're a spring over the shock strut in it's original location, and nothing is installed where the original springs are located?

I'd be very weary of a set of coilovers that are that cheap. I have known tons of people who run "ebay" coilovers on various cars and they blow within a year.

By the time you replace them once you could have just bought a higher quality set.
