Toyota echo engine swap confirmation

Guys thanks for everything thus far. Please confirm that a 2008 Yaris 1.5 motor will directly swap into a 2005 echo 1.5 vehicle. Needless to say both engines are coded 1nz-fe. Thanks in advance for your response!

I’ve already prepped the swap (minus removing engine mount hardware and hood). As soon as y’all let me know, I’ll drop the $500 for the Yaris donor car...

Yes it will but keep in mind that the 1st gen have a throttle cable whereas the 2nd gen onwards have a drive by wire system. Just retain your echo throttle body and intake and you shouldn't have an issue

Awesome and thank you! That was the difference I noticed while prepping the echo, and I’ve kept the throttle cable, throttle body, and everything else. Thanks again; I’ll proceed.
