Hi,
I changed my battery today because the old one had a hard time with cold weather. But now my Yaris 2008 won't start. When I turn the key at ON all light up but nothing happen at START. No sound nothing.
Do you have an idea what can be wrong? It was all working fine just before I switched the batteries. I tried to put the old one back and it's doing the same thing. :iono:
Thanks for your help.

Likely, either that or the ground terminal isnt connected tight enough. Likely the fusible link though

Where is the fusible link? How do I check it?
Thanks

It is attached to the positive terminal clamp. Remove the red plastic cover and you will see 2 windows, see if either are broken

None are broken.

Try jumping it. Maybe the new battery is stale and needs a charge.

I tried that also. I tried also to hit the starter and still nothing.
When I turn the key no sound but all the light stay as bright. It seem like my car is locked...does Yaris have a security code? I saw a post about that but I don't know, I just swapped the battery...:help:
Thanks.

does Yaris have a security code?
No. I cleared that up for you in the other thread.
Automatic or manual transmission?

Have you tried putting the shifter to neutral and turn the ignition? Put it back into park and try again?

It might take a while to find.
Friend's Matrix blew the feasible link, and bunch other fuse and relay went with it. Gonna have to check everything if putting in neutral doesn't work.

A friend helped me to find the problem. Finally the starter gave up then my car has a new battery and starter. It's a weird coincidence.
Thanks all for your help.
