I got a HUGE chip on my window before my care was even a month old. I really need to get it fixed before it starts cracking.

I had a similar incident last month. I had mine replaced by a local mobile repair shop for $250.

250. for a front windshield sounds pretty reasonable, this was your deductable or you paid out of pocket, also the rear would suck more because of the defroster and all, those can get pretty expensive

Oh sweet..nice..
i have many scratches on my windshield..and a very very small chip.

good luck on fixing it.
250 is pretty good IMO. Have it tinted before putting it back on. 50%. not noticeable.

Our deductible is $500 and something like a windshield isn't worth risking a rate increase over, so I paid the $250 out of pocket.

I also paid my favorite tint shop $20 to re-tint the upper area of it, and this time they didn't leave that little 1mm gap on top of the rear view mirror's mount (which the sun used to mange to hit me right in the eye through every now and then), so it actually came out better this time.
