Here is my story:

After selling the Jeep Cherokee and getting the Yaris, I was missing my hitch, which I used to transport my bike around.

I checked Hidden Hitch but they don't sell online and the closest dealer is some 100 miles away... So I went to U-Haul. They didn't have the model that fits the Yaris in stock, but they offered to order it for $170. I went to their website and ordered it myself for $130, including shipping. Great deal! Or so I thought...

I tried to install it today, but had to give up after more than 1 hour. First I had to file little dents in the plastic bumper, so that the edges fits nicely, without tensioning the bumper. Then I struggled to align the holes, but I didn't succeed no matter how hard I tried. All I needed were a few millimeters, the bar was tight against the spare tire case and just wouldn't move.

Twixt, where did you get yours? Mine is a U-Haul model, like I said, part number 249060, for Yaris Liftback... If I had managed to install it, it would look really nice, just like Twixt said...

Any ideas, suggestions, thoughts, are welcome! Which model should I get? Does anyone have any positive experience installing a hitch?

http://www.1800hitchit.com/ sells hidden hitch

I went to http://www.hiddenhitch.com/ and found the part #'s for the hidden version (since it didn't come up on the 1800hitchit site)

Hidden hitch------28502--------$95.49
Drawbar kit-------26451--------$38.12
Adapter kit-------28351--------$47.39

These prices are from 1800hitchit after typing in the PN. The non-hidden version is listed for $79.95, but the receiver is visible below the bumper at all times. Hope this helps!

This and a small trailer would pay for themselves in no time compared to my 10mpg truck!!

Try part # 60209. For liftbacks.

Try thisone as well, they seem to have 3 different models:

I had the Draw-Tite, but I didn't like how it installs, it's hard to get your fingers in there without taking the rear bumper off.

I sold mine and if I decide to buy one again, I'll probably get the Curt. It's the most expensive but it looks much easier to install and take off (I don't like to carry unnecessary weight around town on a daily basis).

I ordered mine from Advance Auto Parts. Its a Class 1 Sport hitch from Curt and was pretty easy to install.

My hidden hitch went on without removing anything. It is a great addition to the car.
