In the late '80s, my brother had the identical car, same year. His was orange with a staggered black stripe running down the side. He also had an early '70s Duster (slant 6) and a '70s Coronet 500 (383). The Challenger was mint and by far the nicest of the lot.

Beautiful. I absolutely love Mopar. Would prefer to see it with the Hurst pistol grip on the floor, but it's a beauty, no doubt.

I had a 1970 340 duster for several years....loved that car. Great times.....The Original color was the infamous peelin' purple. It had been painted a dark metallic blue when I got it.

Looks great. I always wanted to buy a retro car, replace everything in it and make the coolest car!

So many great new/ classics out there that I'm having a helluva time deciding what to buy next

There are many cool new cars I can lease for <$400/ mo

What I really want is a classic muscle car but that requires a 30/$40K commitment

I plan to replace the BMW i3 with something else this summer

:bonk:

I'm scheduled to return my Buick lease this summer, so I've been driving a lot of cars... and yes, there are so many cars available for lease <$400/mo.

The biggest problem right now if you're car shopping and have a bit of money to spend is that there are too many choices. I'm looking for a bike right now and I'm having the same problem.

That Challenger in the first post is a poor choice, IMO.

It's a 73, and it's a 318/auto with vinyl top, one of the worst choices for holding or increasing in value. It's a very nice car but I think it's over priced and if you ever want to sell it you'll either have to be prepared to take a hit or wait a long time.

If you were looking for something like that you'd be better off with a C5 Z06. More capable, more reliable, and half the price

Already had 2 C5's a 1999 and a 2000 thanks

I didn't mean that literally.

The point was that a C5Z is probably a more practical option than a Viper

NICE!

The suspension is the weak point. a little soft as I recall.
Plenty quick.

Beautiful! I wonder how hard it would be to get rid of the dent between the o and the u on the front Plymouth name badge? The 273 V8, while small is surprisingly peppy. I had a 67 Belevedere with that motor and it got over 23 mpg on the highway. That price seems to be great!

One thing to look for is water stains by the driver side front windshield pillar. A-body cars would get a small leak by the corner of the windshield and it would run done inside the body and pool in the floor pan. You wouldnt notice a thing until there is a hole rusted thru the floor pan! Just scope it out.
