Hi,

I own a automatic Yaris 2007 sedan, I bought it few years ago and I love it!
I am planning to do road trip accross Canada (Vancouver-Montreal) in June, I would love to do it with my Yaris. It got me thinking of getting an aftermarket Cruise Control switch to make the trip a bit easier. I called ~10 auto parts places in Vancouver and no one could get/do this for me.

Looks like I can buy a kit for cheap on Amazon (https://www.amazon.ca/Cruise-Control-Switch-Corolla-84632-34011/dp/B07BBP1JBS/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?keywords=yaris+cruise+control%3B&qid=1552368072&s=gateway&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1)
The problem is, I don't have the required tools to get the job done. I am looking for a kind soul that could help me with installing this. If someone has done it and is willing to do it again, I would glady give you money and pay for the extra cables/plugs needed for this. Or, if anyone knows a business that can do the intallation in the Greater Vancouver Area, please let me know!

Thank you

After looking for days, I found a place that can install it for ~180$. It's SoundsGoodAuto, if you live in the lower mainland, give them a call! Cheers :)

The Yaris has cruise control function built in. You just need about 100$ of materials to get it to work.

But if you can't do anything yourself, better get it done.

Now I'm not sure what you got installed there. You have any idea?

The link posted is just the switch. You'll also need a few specific electrical pins and a clutch switch if you have a manual transmission.

Yep so you guys are right.. plus I was told by the shop that my switch won't work with my current model (automatic sedan 2007). They also told be they can get me the parts and get the job done, but my bill will go up significantly.

I will still do it through them, I want to keep that yaris for many years and it has never lived through an eastern canadian winter so.. worth it!

This is the parts the shop will buy: https://www.amazon.com/Rostra-250-1873-Cruise-Control-2006-2007/dp/B007ZGJVXE

They're charging me almost double for the parts. I already made a deposit so I guess I can't argue about it for now..

At least if someone else ever have to deal with this, buy this part online and then head to a garage for the installation.
