Check engine & tsc lights on after jump starting

The battery of my 2012 Yaris went belly up (it's the original battery, unbelievable) so I've jump strated it from another vehicle and to my surprise, the "check engine" and "tsc" went on/ the only thing that I did, was to push manually the Yaris so that it will be close enough to the other vehicle that I've jump started from. is there an explanation for it? and the second thing that I would like to ask - how can I reset these alerts - without a scanner, of course?

I would be quite curious about the error code thrown. Are you sure you do not want to spend some 8 USD on OBD2 BT module? Sooner or later you will need it, trust me.
And of course you can erase the code with it easily.

Are you referring to the gadget sold on Aliexpress, for example? didn't knew that they can do it. I thought they they only can display "fancy" data that there is on the instrument panel already. I'll get one. any idea what could have caused the faults?

You should get the codes, then it will tell you what's going on.
