Hi all,

I have a 2007 Mk2 diesel 1.4 Yaris Hatchback and was wondering if anyone had installed any gas struts to the bonnet to hold it up?

I am looking to do this, as my stay rod is homemade due to the car not having one when I bought it. So I'm guessing the previous owner snapped it or something.

I'm looking for advice on where I could mount the gas struts in the engine bay/on the bonnet so I can hold it up, as from what I can see there may not be any options on where I could fit them.

You Can buy a complete kit for it.
