I gave my €2009 Yaris to my son last September, but years ago the airbags were recalled. The dealership said they would notify me when they came in but apparently they never have.

So for years me and my son of been driving around with one in 1 million chance of getting skewered by defective airbag in the event of an accident!

Isn’t life great? Their airbags have been recalled but there aren’t any new ones to replace them. Because there’s millions of defective airbags and they can’t possibly make them all soon enough to replace them.

Of course there’s 1 million to one chance the airbag will kill us.

Sounds like a lot of mental masturbation to me!

Quit waiting for the dealer to call...the passenger side recall happened. I'm concerned about the driver side and Toyota pulling a Microsoft style "Your operating system is no longer supported."

Call the Toyota 800 phone number in the owner's manual and hear recall history and opens for that VIN #.

I called the dealer and dropped it off the next day, they fixed that and various other less important recalls that I had failed to have fixed within 8 hours.

I took mine in last April i think it was. I had 3 seperate recalls on mine. They did the passenger airbag, seat spring and the drivers side electric window switch while i waited. Took about 4 hours. I did wonder afterwards what about the drivers airbag? Are those deadly too?

If you do the math, how many deaths have there been from exploding airbags? 100? And how many airbags are recalled? 1 million? 5 million? 10 million? 100÷5,000,000 is a pretty small number. Kind of crazy!
