Agree with every one of them, with a slight exception for the floating roof. Generally I don't like them either but I have seen some iterations that I actually liked. First gen Matrix for example.

But overall I wish car designers would take a less is more, keep it simple, attitude.

I don't like the ultra-thin tires. Makes the vehicle(I wish I could just say 'car', but around here I notice trucks/SUVs doing it also) look like a Hot Wheel. Especially with a star-pattern wheel you need some BIG rotors to fill that dead space! Our roads are terrible as well so the tire shops love it, but I enjoy not having to panic at the sight of a pothole. True, some cars can pull it off(exotics, stanced, etc.). Most just look silly IMHO.

I'm with you. The new car market is a wasteland today to me thanks to some horrible/tacky design decisions on the part of automakers, which even go beyond aesthetics & into annoying, flawed and/or unreliable technologies like push-belt CVTs, straight GDI engine designs, engine start/stop feature, push-button start w/auto sense/unlock, gimmicky so-called safety features, etc. I'm very likely taking a road trip to California next year to pick up a low-mileage, unwanted, now-extinct 2018 Yaris SE 4-spd automatic hatchback. It's not perfect, but it is more my preference than the gimmicky/unreliable crap everyone is selling as new cars now.

My thoughts exactly!

My biggest pet peeve is fake exhausts on rear lip kits... Especially when you see the original, rusted-out tiny exhaust pipe dangling just below. And I'm not sure about the US, but over here, even factory-installed lip kits have these, on some cars :(

While we're on the subject can we have these back?

Pop Up headlights
Crank windows
cable throttles
t-tops

I have to agree with the floating roof though.

KALISPEL II: This spring I Drove 400 miles to pick up a 2010 3dr hatch auto with 7800 miles... because I wanted exactly the same thing as what I bought in 2011..

Pop Up headlights - No Thanks, they suck when they break!
Crank windows - I am ok with this one, though my cars have power pkg
cable throttles - Meh?
t-tops - NO THANKS - If I wanted a car that constantly leaked and was extra hot inside, I would buy a Trans Am!

Also white walls - WHAT ARE YOU 70?

LOL!

I've had several Z31s, all with t-tops and only one leaked. I fixed it in 5 minutes.

I have no Idea what a "Z31" is but my best friend had a Camaro with T-Tops and it was in the shop constantly...for leaks!

Oh back in those days...they were "Datsun" and anything other than an inline six "Z" car was a pile of crap...you do remember Datsun/Nissan had Horrible repair and quality until somewhere in the 90's right? (and by then T-Tops were "So 80's")
