Hi. I have an 09 (40k miles) Yaris and the power steering has just started playing up. Suddenly kicked out, luckily while manoeuvring on my drive. Left it an hour and the P/S light went out. Don’t fancy the problem happening when on doing 70. Any advice on sourcing and sorting the fault?
Thanks

Confirm good battery...one of these cars in normal tune will start and run fine on a laughably weak battery.

Many thanks for the advice. Have tested the battery with a load meter and it is on the top end of good. Its about 14 months old and the car is used as a local runabout. This means lots of stops and starts. The car has had a history of eating batteries but mainly when used less frequent. The proplem has not reoccured but it's now more a matter of can I trust it particularly when my wife is driving it.
