Hit a cone in the middle of the highway. Need a new bumper.

2017 Yaris L. I was driving and there was a car in front of me so I couldn't see the road. He swerved last minute so I didn't get a chance to see it until I hit it. Need a new front bumper anyone know how much a body shop will cost?

That's a bummer, sorry it happened to you. Thankfully, nothing major and no injuries. I'd consider trying to find one at a scrap yard. Might be able to get lucky with a rear ended car of the same color?

A body shop can easily sort it but it's probably going to cost around a grand. I'm assuming a few hundred for the bumper and another few hundred for prep, paint and install.

If you know what you're doing, look for the discounts that dealerships send out for parts specials or go aftermarket. Order the bumper and find a reputable shop to paint it. Install it yourself. I did this and cut the cost down by ~half.
