It may not comply with your local laws, modern cars are designed to keep the occupants safe in the event of a crash

you maybe able to trim some of the hard plastics in 3M DiNoc or paint them

the padded dashboard is easily removed and you could recover in anything you like eg. alcantara or padded stitched leather

I have been thinking about doing mine, used parts are cheap so you can restore it to factory when you come to sell

You can buy rolls of real wood veneer in either peel-and-stick or pre-glued with hot melt adhesive. You could make paper patterns and then transfer them to the veneer.
