2007 stock head unit dims out

My radio doesn't illuminate all the way. After I turn the car off it comes back on completely. Any ideas?

lol chances are your illumination is turned down. look over on the left side of your steering wheel for an adjustor for the illumination. it has a light bulb next to the adjustor. play with that and it will increase/decrease your lighting in the vehicle including the radio.
