Hi all!

Does anyone know if it is possible to replace the original Touch and Go radio unit (86140-0d010 with CD) in my Yaris 2014 with the newer unit without the CD (86140-0d100) which was introduced 2015?

The newer unit can more easily be found with the sat nav module included, and to a better price.

86140-0d100 is not a factory nav but may of been upgraded by the dealer - the add on sat nav module is different between the 2 models

Make sure if you purchase a later one it has the patch leads between the head unit and nav module

i just picked up a later one (silver buttons) from a 2018 yaris for £180 (2200kr)

Will You install that 2018 unit in an older vehicle (such as 2012-2013)?

This is the 86140-0d100 unit I'm thinking of by the way.
It seem to have the patch cable but no GPS antenna which I assume I will need.

Main question still remains. Is it possible to replace my 2013 unit with this one and will it be fully functional?

The connections are the same to connect it to the car, you use the grey socket on the nav module for usb, the grey socket on the stereo is not used, you can get the usb leads cheaply on ebay

If you have sat nav in your car currently the gps antenna is the same

The 2018 unit will be going in my early 2016 Hybrid

I did the same recently. BEWARE your 2013 unit is housed in a different "Garnish, Instrument Cluster Finish Panel" from that in a 2015 model! Completely different instrument panel housing! You will also need a NEW frame for the new radio (the old one does not fit) and you will have to do a bit of plastic carving on your old panel to adjust for the new frame of the radio. All connections work, but I have a bluetooth connection problem (I am not alone in this, so I hear). The soft of the new radio is more responsive then in the 2014 model.

Log into my Toyota and register the nav it then gives you access to updates also there is a hidden menu in the hidden menu

The stereo is physically the same it is only the surround that is different, The newer one has no surround (10/2016 onwards)

No it is a facelift with touch 2, you can also see it has 4 buttons on each side of the screen.
Touch 1 has only 3 buttons.

not sure what you mean, maybe something got lost in translation

The op is doing a conversion from the touch to touch 2, the other poster was asking about Bluetooth

See the link in my last post, it lists all the TSB information
