Got 2019 Yaris LE and the headlight dual filament bulb HB2 / 9003 is really dim.
(compared to Kensun HIDs I had installed on my 2012 Matrix, but sold that one)
Any suggestions for a much brighter headlamp?
(Note: I do not have fog lamps, might just install small led running light there in the future)
MUCH brighter, hopefully plug and play and still street legal in Canada, eh...
Would prefer 4000 K, as it less blu-ish.
Thanks for a feedback!

Help!
Winter rain and darkness coming!!!
Any suggestion for bulb LED or HID+Xenon (low/high beam)
9003 HB2 also known as H4
to fit Yaris LE 2019 equipped with halogen bulbs?
N.B. The bulb must fit into a REFLECTOR housing which has a metal cup
Thanks!
Cheers, Adam

I'm sure you'll be happy with them. Their LEDs are top notch and they have excellent customer service. I'd stick with the 5000k color temp since that seems to be exclusive to them. I say that because I have the Profile Peak version (6000k, had the same design and everything as the VLEDs), so I'm sure the actual LED chips (and everything) was made by the same supplier. I ended up with the Profile and not the VLEDs because it was a warranty exchange for some problematic Morimoto HIDs I had from The Retrofit Source. I just checked now, and they seem like they have dropped Profile from their product line.

"action shots" from my Yaris with the OEM halogen reflector bowls:

Actually, TRS just has them on closeout now:
https://www.theretrofitsource.com/9005-profile-peak-led-headlight-bulbs.html
If you do decide to get those, make sure you select the H4 bulb option. Also, I did have one bulb give me an issue, and TRS sent me a new bulb. With that said, I don't think they will offer any warranties for closeout items. So another reason why I would stick with the 5000k VLEDs version.

Saw your recommendation
What about DRL???
I read on the net that Toyota uses pulsed 12 V supply for high beams in a DRL mode.
For LED this would create awful flicker.
The possible solution would be to disable DRL function on the main headlight and install separate DRL
Looking forward to the reply/solution

Ah, yes, I forgot you guys are mandated to have DRLs up there. I don't know what the requirements are, but I'd disable the DRL from the headlights and rewire them to either use pods or bars.
Pods: https://www.vleds.com/shop-application/daytime-running-lights/pod-8-w-5-5k-c.html
They can be placed where the fog lights would be, and be like the previous gen Prius.
Bars: https://www.vleds.com/wpb-w-5-5k-c.html
They can be placed along the "vertical" part of the fog light plastic cover.
The pods can be surface, flush, or rear mounted, and imo, would look more factory like compared to the bars.

As an easy alternative, you could try Philips Xtreme Vision headlight bulbs. I originally fitted Philips Racing Vision bulbs which were noticably brighter again, but tend to have a short lifetime. These are a direct plug in replacement for the original bulbs.
