2012 with 44k miles and still the original belt that came with the car.
With the recent heavy rains here, it seems that the belt is slipping when hitting puddles and getting water into the engine compartment. The charging warning light comes on and the ac compressor stops running (warm air starts coming through the vents). There is also some squealing that can be heard. If I don't hit any more water, the belt eventually catches with the squealing and the charging warning light goes away.
When dry, there are no problems or squealing sounds even with a cold start.
Is all that needs to be done is get the belt replaced?
