rattle in the rear

Hello , my 2007 hatchback started making rattling sounds from the rear ,
it has done that before , usually the heat shield so I went under and solidified it for the xx time , but the sound is still there ...
only when I start to roll and low speed < 5 mph.
I removed rear drums , there is a lip around the back plate , pretty rusty ,
so I pulled away all the loose rusty parts , put on new brake pads in rear ,
I still hear the rattle , like cracking frame , I grabbed at everything under and could not find any loose item explaining rattle .
anyone ever had that kind of sound ???
wheel bearing??
coil spring parts ??
parts inside muffler coming apart ??

Any possible chance it could be something in the car?
All cargo removed? Take any easily removable panels off (hatchback has many in the trunk). Verify your spare tire and jack are secured.

OK , resolved , I reopened rear drums ,
did not notice yesterday that driver side lip was completely gone , desintegrated...
so I reopened passenger side , and I removed the remaining lip that was all twisted
and rusty , leaving just the top part , went for a ride , no more mysterious rattle at low speed .

@ myfirstyota , believe me I had checked the spare and all the tool pouches in
the trunk before , i got it now .

4 years ago it was the front caliper casting that had a part touching the left rotor on high speed right end turns making a chic chic sound ,
not bad for a 13 + year old car .
alternator light flickering since 2008 ,
some early 2007 , that came out in summer 2006 had a regulator that charges
outside of the accepted engine control module parameters , and makes the alternator light flicker, .
..
when all you get are rattles , you got a reliable little car .

was stressed that some part of the rear suspension was cracked and that the
car was going to lose the rear axle and body go down on the ground in bumper
to bumper 5 mph rush hour traffic .
just this little tab / lip and it sounded loud , like the muffler dragging on the ground .
