Part number 12351-21090 https://www.toyotapartsdirect.ca/images/parts/toyota/fullsize/113752L.jpg

Labeled 12351 at the bottom right in that image. It is attached to the back of the transmission mount bracket.

I'm caving in and buying all four main motor mount components from toyotapartsdeal to see if this will get rid of my engine vibration issue.

I was curious if anyone is familiar with this component and its function. From my visual inspection, it does not seem to do anything. It is called a damper, and I assume it dampens as a weight somehow, but it just seems to be a piece of rubber?

Just wanted to see if anyone has anything on this before I go take everything apart so I can take a closer look at it.
