Hi everybody. I just picked up my new Yaris, and this forum has been a huge help.

I am currently replacing my wheels (I'm going to put 15" feathers on the stock tires, then possibly size up when it's time to change tires), and I wanted to pick up some black spline drive lug nuts.

I'm wondering...Is there a big difference between the $25 sets and the name brand $75 sets? It seems like a lot more money for something that really should be the exact same thing (unless of course the $25 lugs are more prone to strip, etc.). Has anyone had any experience with this? Thanks!

I think any difference in terms of weight is over-rated. The people I race with say aluminum lugs are a no-no, they won't hold torque for very long.

I saw a set of titanium lugs on evasivemotorsports.com -- $519??? yikes.

So I would say, go with whatever you like for your car, don't overspend, and make sure you get the right lug for your wheel (flat vs. pillow vs. wedge shape)
