Hey y'all,

What's the ballpark figure for a sparks/coils change on one of these guys? I don't imagine they make a 6-cyl version, but I've got 4.

Any figure? Thanks for reading.

The OEM plugs are $10-14 each depending where you get them and coils will be $40 ish each so $200 + Labor (<1 hour)

Plugs and coils are one of the easiest diy jobs there is. However, your dets state a 2018 iA and a plug and coil change is far from being necessary. Why are you looking at this?

That's way cheaper than my F-250. That cost me like $800. If that's a job I could do myself, hell yeah. Even better. I can't get the transmission fluid changed without going to the dealership (because it's sealed or something) so I thought it might be similar.

I've got over 100k on the car and figured it's probably a good idea.

A coil only needs replacing when it actually exhibits signs of failure. There is nothing, other than a lighter wallet, to be gained by replacing them just because.

Well if that's got the 5.4 then that's why. Those plugs are a nightmare and tend to break when you try to remove them and most mechanics avoid that job.
