1zz throttle body swap rev hang

i recently did the 1zz throttle body swap and i did do the chip swap and i looped the coolant lines at the block to bypass it, anyone know how to get rid of the annoying rev hang that happens for like 3 seconds straight when you let go of the gas, its like its still goving it throttle even though you are not. 🥺

I don't recall anyone having an issue with that before, but I may have missed it. Have you checked to make sure that the valve returns by itself and closes correctly? If it was used, it's possible that it's dirty/fouled and getting stuck.

it is a used unit, i have cleaned it out with throttle body cleaner, you think it might be the way the airflow transitions into the maifold opening? it doesnt have a smooth flow going into manufold it just steps down you know what i mean? i also only tried it for about a mile or two, thrn i went to original, you think i would need to drive around more possibly?

I also had this issue when I was using 1zz throttle body. I don't have any fix for it but I can confirm it is a common issue with this mod

yeah man its weird how long have you tried driving around with it? i wonder if it needs more time
