I have a 2011 Yaris that has a TPMS problem.
It intermittently flashes for 1 minute then stays illuminated.

I already know that this means a TPS fault.
I am considering disabling or bypassing the system or even just removing the associated light bulb or LED.

I also am familiar with the rather large thread on the GEN2 Yaris TPMS bypass, but that one doesn't apply to a GEN3 Yaris.

So the questions are:

Can I disable or bypass the TPMS system on a GEN3 Yaris?

Does a TPMS fault show up on an OBD2 check for a State Inspection?

2011 Yaris is a gen 2 car.

Just had this same thing arise with my 2010 Yaris. Dealership wanted $230+ to replace EACH sensor. I've had my car 9 years, and the functional life of these sensors is 7-10 years, so I wanted to swap out all the sensors, because I can see them all going bad sometime very soon. Well, to swap them all out would be around $950. Don't think so. I took it to Costco, and they swapped out all 4 sensors, balanced my tires, and filled them with nitrogen for around $240. I know this doesn't address your question, but I thought I'd share my experience concerning my TPMS situation. Good luck.

Yeah, it IS a 2nd gen. So... there's that.

I'll get to the proper sub forum.
