Is there a simple way to DISABLE drl?

One thing I don't like about my manual Yaris is it came with daytime running lights, which gets on my last nerve. I like to control whether my lights are on or off. Is there a simple way to disable this function on the car without gimping up other stuff?

Look up under the dash from the drivers footwell (assuming RHD). On the side beside the radio (middle of car) there is a large connector with a lot of wires running to it. Disconnect it and you are good to go
