2014? You'll get a solid couple years before you have to start putting cardboard under it to catch the oil leaks

Just teasing. It's sexy, no doubt.

It's certainly a handsome model, and I like the colour. But, older BMW's scare me; potentially a bunch of never-ending issues... some very expensive.

Depends on how much you enjoy auto repairs & auto repair expenditures. It could be your new hobby!

It is a nice looking car, but I don't know anything about BMWs.

Deep Blue is an attractive color. But, buying a car made in six years back cannot be accepted. Actually I saw some problems with a newly bought BMW car recently. So, I'm afraid it would not bother you.

Ha ha if you like spending $4,000+ per year on repairs go ahead. No fucking way I'd buy that money pit. The only good way to own a BMW is to lease it. Never buy one, especially not one out of warranty.

Go for it. Don't mind the haters. They said the same thing about KIA. I own one for 4 years. Drives like new.

Have the car inspected by the local BMW dealer before purchase.
Should cost about $125.
My experience has been very good doing that.
At least you know if your starting out with a good car.

Best time to buy is the last few days of the month.
The dealers inventory payment is due on the first.

Whoa, I would say "haters" is a bit too harsh of a way to describe the comments here. The OP asked for feedback on the vehicle and people are giving him their candid feedback, albeit with a few jokes to go along with it. Are you saying the OP should have expected only positive feedback about a BMW on a Toyota forum? I would think he would prefer and value candid feedback over everyone simply cheering him on. My joke was around older BMW's leaking oil. I happen to know several BMW enthusiasts, my brother-in-law included, and that's the joke they all make about their own cars --despite their love for them.

As an aside, I thought I remember reading a follow-up post/comment from you about your KIA experience, where you said you wouldn't ever buy another. Am I confusing you with someone else?

I have a friend who has owned a used car dealership for the last 35 years. He sells nothing but late model MBZ and BMW models. He refuses to sell me even the nicest car with low miles. He tells me the only way to enjoy a MBZ or BMW is a 2-3 year new car lease.
