My son hit a deer and did some damage to our 2012 Yaris Hatchback. I was wondering if anyone knew if the radiator support brackets are spot welded in on this model or if they are bolt in. Just trying to get an idea what Im going to get into when I pull this thing apart.
THANKS

The front end mostly bolts together. The only risk you take in breaking the metal-to-metal contact between parts is the ground path for the horn getting dirty/rusted.

THANK YOU - I couldn't tell if it was bolt or weld. Bolt is easy and I don't need to go and buy a spot welder!
THANKS again for the assistance. Never pulled the Yaris apart so don't know a whole lot about it.

The only tricky part is getting the bumper cover off without damaging the clips between the headlights and the wheel well. There's three clips along that seam and very little clearance to get anything in there to release them. I've had to replace the plastic clip on both sides and the bumper cover side of that joint is pretty well worn out. The bumper cover has been off dozens of times over the years though, so once or twice isn't a problem.

The service manual recommends a flat head screwdriver with masking tape wrapped around the head (to prevent scratching) to pry/release it. I also plan on replacing most of the plastic quick fasteners at the top whenever I have to get in there because they deteriorate and tend to fall apart when you remove them.
