Hello. If my Yaris takes a 185/60R 15 tire size, would I also be able to use a 195/65R15. I have some good spares

Not really. Tire would be quite tall.

185/60 means height of sidewall is 60% of the tires 185 width. Apply same math to 195/65 and you'll understand how much bigger than stock the tire would be.

You can do it, they will physically fit. Just understand that your speedometer and odometer will no longer be accurate.

I wouldn't install such tall rubber.

185/60/15 = 23.7" diameter
195/65/15 = 25.0" diameter

I have a set of 195/65-15 tires that are on stock steel wheels that I run in the winter months. These are on a 2010 3 dr HB with a manual trans. They are noticeably taller but still are acceptable. I don't think you would want to tow a trailer or have 4 large adults in the car. The most noticeable change is in the spring when the 185/60-15 tires on aluminum rims are put back on, the performance difference is substantially better. Bill C

It's good to know that you were still able to use a set of tires of that size without much problem. I'm going to check 4wheelonline for their selections of 185/60/15 winter tires. I've been using all-weather tires, but I want to try and run a set of winter tires this year. Hopefully, I could do it with minimal adjustments.

pica, I also have a set of mounted, studded 195/60-15 snow tires that I will put on if they forecast a substantial storm. The only thing that will stop my Yaris if the snow is so deep it lifts the underbody. Bill C

the biggest thing beyond clearance is it effectively makes your gearing taller, while also throwing your speedometer and odometer off.

do as you may with that knowledge
