View Full Version : 15A Fuse keeps blowing
So I have a Mk1 Yaris and the 15A fuse keeps blowing every so often. It controls these: the Alternator warning lamp, engine management, fuel pump relay, multifunction display, SRS warning lamp, supplementary restraint system (SRS). I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and if they know how to fix it. I've been told its a burnt wire or a grounding problem. But I dont know exactly where. If anyone has any advice that would be great

I'd start by unplugging the alternator and seeing if the fuse blows.

The car probably won't run with it unplugged. Most modern cars have a fail safe that will shut the car down when the alternator gets disconnected. I've never tried it on a yaris though so can't confirm if it does too.
