Hi,
I have a 2007 Yaris 3-door hatch with about 127,000 miles on it. About 2 years ago, I replaced the water pump together with the head gasket. Now, the water pump is failing again, only about 30,000 miles later.
I'd like to know if Yaris fans have any suggestions for what to do next. Obviously, I'll be replacing the water pump. This time, I'll be supplying the pump myself rather than letting the shop put in a rebuilt one. I've read good things about the Aisin pump. Is that the pump I should buy?
Anything else I should consider before it goes to the shop? Should I use a lower-temperature thermostat, etc.? I want maximum reliability from this thing. Thanks!
