Hello everyone,
I think is a good idea to share my experience with the installation of Atoto SA102 Starter unit in my Yaris 2007 (XP9) (European Car).
List of things that you need to buy:
* Atoto unit (in my case I choose the SA102 Starter unit (http://www.myatoto.com/index.php?m=content&c=index&a=show&catid=15&id=65))
* CTSTY001.2 from connects2 (https://connects2.com/Product/ProductItem/CTSTY001.2)
* CTMULTILEAD.2 from connects2 (https://connects2.com/Product/ProductItem/CTMULTILEAD.2)
* Yaris frame for install 2Din unit (https://phonocar.pt/pt/accessories/adaptadores/molduras-adaptadores-auto-radio/mascara-frontal-auto-radio-2din-pretoprata-yaris-0712/03577.html)
With this things you can easily install the unit with fully functional steering wheel controls.
In my case I only solder 3 wire, the rest of the wires I use the ISO B connector cable that came with the unit. It was super easy.
In the wires that came with the unit you have 3 wires for steering wheel, that you need to connect to the CTMULTILEAD.2
Steering wheel GND => GND
SW Key => Key 1
SW Key# => Key 2
With this you have the unit fully functional with the steering wheel controls.

Has you can see in the picture number 2 I fill the gap of the unit and the frame with a silver bezel that came with the phonocar frame. But when I have a little of time I will try with the black bezel that came with the Atoto unit (see picture 4).
I hope the information that I published help someone to install the Atoto unit.
I also saw a few videos with tutorials works before install the unit. This is the list:

Hi, I have installed the same unit and it works great. I use it with android auto and it is perfect.
I installed also the microphone and the black frame.
I think it is better than most android native units because most of them are slow in this price range.
I have installed the unit with a cheap wiring harness from aliexpress.

Hello,
How do you install the USB cable? Did you replace the car cigarette lighter?
I bought on aliexpress a cable that feet perfectly near the hand break, but I'm waiting for delivery. After that I will know if it works. My idea is to plug this cable to the cable that came with Atoto unit.

I did not install the microfone but I install the black frame.

That wiring harness that you bought from aliexpress works with your steering wheel control?
I have one issue that want to solve. When I receive phone calls, the unit doesn't show the name of contact number.
That problem also happen in my other car with stock radio. Some contacts appears the name and other contacts doesn't appear. My cell phone is a Galaxy S20.

I use only the atoto usb cable but I didn't mount it on the panel. It's free near the cigarette lighter.
From AliExpress I bought a wiring harness and basically I have used only the sockets and soldered every single cable tu the harness that came with the atoto unit. For the steering wheel there was that big socket with only three cables.

Hello,
Finally arrived the usb connector for my Yaris. It take more than 2 months.
https://i.postimg.cc/76jhs3vM/20201130-153853.jpg
It fits perfect.

This is the finall result
https://i.postimg.cc/QMXT1JsF/20201130-154947.jpg
The Atoto unit detect the cell phone and start the Android Auto, but the Android Auto is very very slowly to operate.
For example, when I change from maps to home screen of Android Auto it takes almost 6 seconds.
I need to try to connect the phone directly to the cable that is connected to the unit. Perhaps the problem is the usb connector that I bought or the cable USB-A to USB-C.
I will try that and later will give here the feedback.
Hi man, awesome mount!
Thank you for the thorough explanation and all photos - definitely instructive!
I'm considering myself to buy and mount the same HU on my Yaris 2011. Actually, I've registered to this forum specifically to answer this thread.
I hope you don't mind a couple of questions:
- Was the black frame included with the HU enough to mount it, or I need to buy soecifically the mask adapter as you did?
- How is the sound compared to the stock unit?
- Does it have issues in receiving FM radios as other HUs?
- I LOVE your USB connector! Does it need a specific model or I can buy one on Amazon - to not wait 2 months while it gets shipped from China?
Thank you so much, and keep going with the good work!
