Hi Yarisworlders. So I've been using Pennzoil Ultra Platinum Full Syn lately, and usually change my oil every 5,000 miles. Since it's full synthetic, I always read that I can extend the oil change intervals. I'm thinking about changing my oil every 6,000 miles. For those who use full synthetic, is this acceptable if I want my car to last a long time, or should I stick with 5,000 mile oil change interval with full synthetic oil? Thanks.
probably depends on your driving conditions. if you live in a dirty/dusty area or do all city stop and go driving id stick with 5. if not, 6 should be fine with synthetic, I stick with 5k personally mostly city/highway mix driving.

I do not think it matters. 5k or 6k miles - no difference. Some people drive 10k miles which is too much though. Some oils declare they can last even 20k miles but I would never ever do this to any gas engine.

The best way would be to do an oil analysis.
But I don't change the oil until 10k with synthetic and never a problem. No oil burning etc and have gone many many miles. I do use a Toyota oil filter though. https://www.blackstone-labs.com/
