Greetings
1 KR-FE engine Yaris 2007.
What is the white stuff on the throttle body bolts? I think its thread locker? If it is thread locker, what is the part number for it?
Any alternatives? (Keep in mind that I live in a 3rd world country that used to be 1st world so I probably won't know of 3rd party alternatives except for maybe loctite). Is loctite advisable? (loctite sounds American, so you must know )
On a footnote for some useless or not so useless information for future searches: I found a pool of engine oil in the airbox. Traced it back to a clogged PCV valve. I cleaned the oil out of the airbox. Pool of oil returned. Oil pool problem went away as soon as I changed the PCV valve.
I assume that the PCV failure caused the pressure to build and spew oil through the breather pipe. Air filter was taking oil baths before the PCV valve change
Oil Consumption has dropped dramatically lately.
So that is why I took the throttle body out. I had to clean a slimy layer of black oil out of the throttle body.
More useless info: The throttle body had the engraving "Made in Germany - Bosch "
