Dead Yaris. No Power

hello. i hope it's just a battery issue.
i started vehicle without any issue. let engine warm for 10 minutes. backing out of parking spot, had a hesitation and "p/s pressure" loss. had a hesitation and stall reset dash/power port/radio when pulling forward. had a hesitation and p/s loss when foot off the accelerator pedal. pulled into fueling station and turned off vehicle. when returning from store, (1 minute) no power, no start. oil sensor and door indicator only. no clicking, or anything. DLC is functional. "no communication" is displayed. acts like ECU is fried. battery terminals look okay, but corrosion is present. battery has never been replaced by me, is a cheap die hard silver battery. many extra ground straps have been added to system.
i will replace the battery and clean terminals when the sun comes up. i hope this is the issue. seems strange...
also, door locks are not functioning...

wow! it was totally the battery! i've dealt with battery issues for 20 years, i've never seen it act this way. i 100% believed the ECU was fried. that electric p/s must draw some major amperage to make it need the battery to run. i guess the manual transmission is not a fail safe for dead batteries on the Yaris. bummer. but happy repair was less than $200.
