Hey guys,

Quick question; Are there any differences between the automatic and manual Scion xD engine harnesses? It seems impossible to find a manual harness anywhere where the automatics can basically be found on Ebay for under a hundred bucks all day long. My car is a run of the mill 1NZ-FE/C50 car with immobilizer.

I don't plan on swapping my car for some time as I have other more important financial commitments(wedding mostly). But that doesn't mean I can't keep an eye out at junkyards for Scion stuff I'll need to swap my car and piece it together as I go.

Take a look at ArmstrongRacing's 2ZR swap. He had an AT to begin with and later went to a 6-speed. I think the only significant difference is the presence of the shift solenoid/position connection. The xD uses ABS signals for the speedo so you may have to scavenge the MT turbine wires from the Yaris harness to keep your speedo working, depending on your cluster. Been a while since I've gone over any of that so this is just rusty recollection.

Good to know! Glad they are pretty much the exact same harness, it'll make it MUCH easier to scrounge for parts.
