View Full Version : Car Boot Wont Open (electronic)

Hello Everyone 👋

I have a 2017 Yaris hatchback and the boot wont open. Normal release is first via key fob then pressing the rear release. Tried al combinations. The car opens and locks fine with the fob. Could it be fuse related or change the fob battery ?

Sounds like you have a different fob to the local one here. We only get the 2 button fob which can lock and unlock the car.

My other Toyota has a four button fob for Lock, Unlock, Boot (trunk) and Panic functions. On this car, I need to hold the Boot (trunk) release for a second or two before it opens.
