Toyota Yaris tial light problem

Hi Guys,

I recently bought a Toyota Yaris 2007 model and the car is amazing but there is a slight problem the light that is suppose to switch on (in the tail light) when I switch on my head lights does not come on .

I have checked the fuses (non blown)
took the multi meter and there is no power at that section of the tail light

can you please assist me ?

Try checking for ground on both sides of the socket, one side to ground and then the other, I believe one side should be grounded, if both don't have ground then it's bad, if both have ground then it's bad. Might need to hand to hand trace the cable to see if there's any damage.

Not having dual filament bulbs will sometimes do this, in case someone is suspicious of that
