There was a topic about making a logo in order to recognize YW peeps.
so how bout every1 with skillz show wat they got..
just an idea.
my first is a bit corny but yea, remember to keep it simple because if sum1 prints it out (etimago's friend :p), it needs to be cheap..no crazy effects or w/e..color, outline...just like the YW.com sticker..
mine's isn't really a logo..but I'll work on 1 as I get more idea.
plz participate!

I am so glad I'm not the only one that needs a translator when Blenjar is around. I don't think English is his first language.

Don't forget the Belta too, don't wanna make JDM-inclined sedan owners feel left out!

Hell, it is my first language and I can take all the help I can get too.
For starters, a logo shouldn't even be created using Photoshop, it should be vector so it is scaleable - eg. Adobe Illustrator...
Cheers
Can't you do vector in photoshop? When it says "do you want to rasterize?" it converts vector to pixel, so that has to mean you started with vector, right? I know text starts that way, but surely you can do vector graphics too.

I think the "rasterize" function is for converting a type layer or imported vector path. You can get a vector graphic from p'shop but its a PITA.
You can draw a shape (not painted with brush) and export (or drag/drop, copy/paste) paths to illustrator. But it literally exports just the path, so any stroke/fill color you've done does not show up. I hear that stuff done with brushes can also be done using "make work path" command or something, I have not tried it.
For simple logo I'd have to agree with echo, start with vector.
Hey I want to take a stab at this logo, but is someone going to turn it into a sticker?
Ah, thanks for clearing that up, kurokoma-kun.

That looks great:clap:
but it makes me think the address is world.com
might add yarisworld.com to the ring and blow up the toyota badge on the planet

Thanks Brick! Yea, I would need to mess with it some more, just fartin around while the boss is out of town. Hope to see some more people posting ideas here soon.
I'm going for something catchy. 'Yar-Vi-Bel' is kinda abstract, to perk people's curosity.

Nice, I like that! Now just add to black t-shirt with list of made-up concert dates on the back and you're done!

Kind of sounds like some sort of pirate slang.
And you can do something funny on the back for those concert dates like this t-shirt for Ranma 1/2 with a character who always gets lost so every date was listed as canceled (never seen the show but my friend owned the shirt).
thanks I think it has a nice ring to it...
