Good day,
Can someone identify this part (see picture attached ) and tell me if it's fixable?
It is a Yaris 2008 with 292000 KL. Nothing else is rusted. Mechanic A1

Hi Les here. This appears to be a corrosion issue of the floor pan. My advice would be to take it in to a reputable auto body shop and have them look at it. Or to a Toyota dealership and have them look at it. The last thing you want is the arm to detach whilst driving.

That is not a removable part, it is part of the unibody.
Unfortunately it also strengthens the attachment point of the rear axle beam. That would be a tough area to weld in new metal as it has a lot of tight curves.
I'm sure there is a shop that could do it, I'm just not sure it would make sense financially.
IMO the dealership is not the right place to have this looked at and fixed
