Hello,

I'm trying to fix a very strange electrical problem on a 2002 Yaris, 1.0 vvti Europe.
Engine stopped at a red light, and never start again.
Here are the very strange things I have noticed until now:

-starter works. No ignition, no fuel. No engine light, even a few seconds when trying to start

-unable to run a diag on the car, but 12v is OK on diag plug

-if I disconnect the battery and connect again, central locking works and everything seems normal until I turn the key (many voltage checked, 0v when expected, 12v when expected)

-once I turn the key, central locking is no more working, and several wires have around 9V, even if I remove the key ! On engine ECU, several pins have 9v whereas they should have 0v, key out of the car. Wipers have 9v key out of the car (wiper motor tries to work, it makes some noise, but not enough power to run). Some lights on dashboard stay half on, key out of the car (see attached picture). --> if I disconnect the battey and reconnect it, I do not have those strange behaviors until I turn the key again to try to start.

I do not have wiring diagrams of the car, so not easy to diagnose. If I disconnect dashboard and engine ECU, I still have strange 9v at several locations, so it's not coming from them. Fuse are OK.

Any idea? Anyone having wiring diagrams ?

Regards

Problem solved : ground on the right of the passager feet was broken.
