07 3dr 1.5l base model. I upgraded the amp and sub in my car.
I added a kinetik 1900A battery, then I think I destroyed the oem alt. So today I added a Brand X 250A alt. Still has the same problem. The engine bogs down, but still runs, the lights shut off for a second or two, then kick back on.. My first system had a 40A fuse, and this one is 100A.. I also added a train horn, with a relay, to the existing 1 wire.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks in Advance

I hate to say this, but it appears the modifications you made to your stereo caused the problem. But unfortunately The cure eludes me.

Before going any further, you should have at the very least, 3 fuses.
1- close to your front battery.
1- right before your second battery
1- Fused distribution block

Reason is in case you ever wrecked or the power wire touches metal your whole car won't catch fire. Safety first.

I have an 07 Sedan with a kinetik in the trunk on a stock alternator.

Did you do a Big 3 Upgrade ? add a thicker run of wire from alternator to your main battery, thicker ground wire on alternator and a thicker ground on your battery.

Do not remove any of the factory wiring just add to it. A good 4 gauge wire or a cheap 0 gauge will do the job.

What gauge wire are you running for your system and how big of an amp do you have?
