if i put 18 inch wheels will it reduce the wheel gap

you don't need larger wheels! kind of an odd wheel selction if "sporty" is what you were going for. I would suggest you hurry up and get the car dropped and maybe look into trading your wheels or buying another set if you want sporty.

18's are too big, 17's is fine for that sporty look

I would replace the chome wheels with black or gunmetal wheels 16" or 17" and add the NF210 or DF210 Tanabe lowering springs. The vehicle color doesn't really work with chrome wheels and the body kit will look much better lowered. Good looking Yaris.

205/45/17 would be the better tire choice in my opinion

when you say my tyre size is an odd choice , do you mean my dimensions or should i go for smaller wheels, i was thinking of going for a broader tyre like 17" 215 45, would that work better, also my concern in lowering is that the ride will be too bumpy

if you are going to stick with the 17's in any wheel selection, I would go with something different like posted above I would say looks wise and ride wise 205/45/17 would be the best tire choice, you need at least 1.5 drop a little more will look that much better, the ride is fine, go with a quality brand like Megan, Tanabe or Tein and you'll be set, the tires are going to impact the feel of your ride more than the springs will, tires are your best dampener over bumps, fit however much sidewall you can in there, you with me?

thanks for being so patient with me, i'm a bit of a newbie to pimping out cars, what i want to ask is what is sidewall and when i lower it is it just springs that i need

I think your yaris is ok, but needs a drop. The NF210 springs are not too bumpy and offers a decent look. Even more agressive look is painting the inside part of the headlights and add black or gunmetal wheels.
