Fuel gauge shows full but it’s not

Sorry if I’m posting in the wrong section! I have a 2016 Yaris sedan and when I left work tonight my fuel gauge showed I was 3/4 full. When I got home I noticed as I was pulling in the driveway it showed that I was completely full, I have tried a few different things but it’s not going back to normal. Has anyone else ever had this issue?

Sounds like the float may be sticking or the fuel level sending sensor is dirty. Or maybe your driveway is really steep? =)

Sounds like taking the fuel pump out of the gas tank and checking the float is in order. Sounds like you’ll have to have a mechanic do that.

But if you can’t afford it just do what us old motorcyclists do. Ignore the gauge and go by mileage. You should be fine driving 200 miles between Phillips
